OUR MISSION & VISION

OUR MISSION: We exist to transform lives and restore hearts to God

You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.  Isaiah 58:12

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. Romans 4:17b

OUR VISION: Here at Renovate Church we believe in the power of Jesus to transform lives as we submit ourselves to a renovation project of our heart.

o   Our goal is to have a microchurch throughout the city in every neighborhood, apartment, senior center, trailer park, coffee house, etc. because the great thing about our model is we don’t have to wait for people to come to us, we can bring the church to them.

o   We want to make everyday missionaries who are building relationships which lead to gospel conversations.

o   We want to make such a positive impact on our community that they would miss us if we were gone.

OUR MOTTO: Real people. Real issues. Real life. Real difference.

We believe circles are better than rows and that life transformation happens best through relationships; therefore, we are a church of small groups not a church with small groups.

Simply put, we are a church of home churches.

  • We use missional communities and home churches synonymously. One distinction from a conventional church is that home churches are decentralized and not tied to a church building. Most of our missional communities meet in homes but they don’t have to. It’s less about “going to church” and more about “being the church.”

  • It means that we are followers of Jesus who not only meet regularly to worship but we also highly emphasize and value community and mission.

Community means that we do life together. We support, encourage, and even sometimes challenge each other. We regularly pray for each other and support each other as we grow in faith. These interactions carry on throughout the week.

Mission means that we are the hands and feet of Jesus and intentionally seek ways to practically and generously love our neighbors (our literal neighbors and our community at large) and inspire others to love Jesus.

  • Missional communities provide opportunities for greater participation and for more people to exercise their spiritual giftings; whereas conventional churches have vocational ministers or pastors who are seen as experts who end up carrying most of the weight of ministry. Missional communities naturally promote participation rather than consumerism.

They are also natural incubators for leaders. We highly value leadership development.

  • • Gatherings are simple, casual, and relational

    • Worship and studying the Bible

    • Discussion and personal application of Biblical truths

    • A shared meal

    • Fellowship (hang out together)

    • Prayer

    • At least once a month serving the community together

  • We are a network of missional communities, which means that we partner and work together to accomplish our mission of transforming lives and restoring hearts to God. All missional community groups hold the same values and use the same strategies to facilitate worship, community, and mission.

On the first Sunday of every month, there is an opportunity for the different missional communities to meet all together for worship. The rest of the month, missional communities meet separately with at least one Sunday primarily devoted to serving the community or neighborhood.

  • Absolutely! We livestream the worship portion of our gatherings on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/RenovateChurchDFW

Immediately after the livestream we offer a virtual home group through Zoom. The Zoom link and access is provided at the end of the livestream.

  • We love equipping others! We would start by setting up a meeting to talk about needs, wants, and expectations. Together we would evaluate giftings and any desired training. The first step is just getting to know each other. Reach out to us to begin that conversation.

  • Yes! Reach out to us and let us know what you need. We have established resources and hold classes to help build leadership, evaluate gifting’s, develop a missionary mindset, and more!
